I speak for myself and no one else.

It does not matter who I am. It matters only what I do. Some would call me gay; I call myself queer. "Gay" means that I am different from straight people, as well as from lesbians, bisexuals, and transgender people. "Queer" means only that I am different from squares. I embrace my entire identity, not just one tiny facet of it.

I am an atheist, a materialist, an existentialist, an absurdist, and a hedonist. It is my goal in life to die having experienced as much as I can meaningfully experience. The irony that the term "meaningfully experience" has no inherent meaning does not escape me. I want to leave the world in a better condition than I found it, but that is not likely to happen.

Some things I like: people, music, makeup, fashion, art, drugs, sex

Some things I dislike: stupid people, bad music, incompetent makeup, thoughtless fashion, popular art, religion, chastity

I love most people despite all evidence to the contrary. I love two more than most. Matt is my world, my lover, my strength, and my partner. Herbe is my friend, my lover, my mirror, and my ingenue.

I do not believe in communities. I do not believe in the gay community, or the bear community, or the progressive community, or any community other than the only community that matters - the human race.

I do not believe in political parties. Fuck Republicans. Fuck Democrats. Fuck any group that would cause its members to set aside deep thought about freedom and society in favor of simplicity and stupidity. I cast my lot with the downtrodden, who have no voice and never will.

Any GLBT-oriented group with money has betrayed GLBT people everywhere. Fuck the HRC. They are the modern equivalent to the Jewish Police in the Third Reich. They are content to sell out any and all sexual minorities in the interest of currying favor with the squares.

I believe in the potential of the human race.
